He married JEMIMA FLORENCE CLEMENTS 9 November 1887 in Prince Edward Island, Canada. The minister was Benj. Chappell, a Methodist minister in Summerside, PEI; witnesses were C. J. McArthur and Mary A. McCarthy. Jemima Florence was born 26 August 1860 in PEI, and died 28 January 1939 in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. In 1900, the family was living in Watertown, Massachusetts. The three children listed were Ethel (1888), Lester (1889), and Hillard (1891). The couple had been married 17 years and had had 3 children by that date. William was working as a starch maker.
